A Christmas treat!

On the 16th December, the Ursuline Sisters and staff from Forest Gate were treated to a Christmas light trail at Leeds Castle, Kent.

The minibus left London at 2:45pm for the hour and a half journey to Maidstone, getting us there as the sun set. Perfect conditions to enjoy the lights, sounds and festive atmosphere.

The walk around the grounds lasted an hour, with a stop half way round for coffee, tea and of course hot chocolates. Just what we needed!

The castle grounds were decorated with lights on the trees, on the lake and on the castle itself.  Christmas songs and carols accompanied the lights and were a joy to hear as we followed the festive route.

We were blessed with no rain and a mild night. Despite the tired legs, fun was had by all and we arrived home full of Christmas joy and gratitude.
