English Province Centenary

The Ursulines in England joined the Roman Union of Ursulines in October 1923.  The centenary of belonging to the Roman Union will be marked with a series of year-long events.

We launched the year on 13th October this year with a special liturgy which will be celebrated in each community.  Our Ursuline schools will organise events across the year to which they will invite students from other schools.

A centenary book is being written which will record momentous events of the 100 years and will include information about each sister who has lived in the province.  The book will be published in August 2023.

The final event will be a celebratory Mass on 13th October 2023 at St Antony’s parish Church Forest Gate followed by a reception at St Angela’s school, Forest Gate.
